Mission Statement:
The South Daytona Police Department will endeavor to provide courteous and competent law enforcement services and solve problems/conflicts in a fair and impartial manner.


The South Daytona Police Department is charged with the preservation of peace and order, the prevention and detection of crime, the apprehension of offenders, the protection of persons and property under the laws of the State of Florida, the ordinances of the City of South Daytona, and the performance of a multitude of tasks relating to public welfare and safety.

Our mission is to promote and maintain an atmosphere of safety and security within our community through highly skilled employees, dedicated to the protection of constitutional guarantees, the maintenance of order, and the safeguarding of life and property.

The South Daytona Police Department will provide effective, humane law enforcement services for anyone who either resides in or visits the City of South Daytona.
