The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is a group of citizens that advise the Parks and Recreation Department and City Council on important issues such as park design, program development, fees and charges, and other functions of the department. The purpose of the group is to gain input from the community and present these ideas to the Parks and Recreation Director. They vote on important issues for consideration by the City Council. They are also very active in volunteering at Parks and Recreation Department activities. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets at the Piggotte Community Center, 504 Big Tree Road, South Daytona, FL on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m
