Community Service Officers

 
The Community Service Officer (CSO) primarily performs tasks related to the enforcement of animal control laws, to include answering calls and patrolling in a specified area to capture and impound stray animals, investigation of animal bite complaints, and other duties related to domesticated and wild animals.

The CSO will investigate complaints, issue summons to violators of pertinent ordinance/statute violations and write reports to document investigations through the Police Department reporting system.

The CSO's also enforce city ordinances related to parking violations; direct traffic at crash scenes; assist with Community Relations and Community Crime Prevention projects and activities; and assists with Citizen Crime Reports and follow-up investigations of minor crimes.
