The City of South Daytona Community Redevelopment Agency (CRAG) was established in 1997. The City of South Daytona Council serves as the CRAG and fulfills the legislative and governing obligations and responsibilities of the agency. The primary function of the CRAG is the redevelopment of a designated geographic district called the Community Redevelopment Area (CRA).

The CRA is outlined on the attached map. However, generally the CRA is bounded by the Halifax River on the east, Beville Road on the north, Eastern Road, Golfview Boulevard, Lambright Road, Anastasia Drive, and the Florida East Coast Railroad on the west, and the south city limits. The CRA is approximately 827 acres or 38% of the City's total land area. This area generally includes City Hall, the South Daytona Business Park, Sunshine Park, Warner Christian Academy and many other commercial, single-family and multi-family residential areas.
