a) RESOLUTION NO. 16-09
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH DAYTONA, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A PRELIMINARY AD VALOREM TAX RATE OF 7.4000 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS OF TAXABLE VALUATION REPRESENTING A 0.3462 MILL OR 4.91% INCREASE ABOVE THE ROLLED-BACK RATE OF 7.0538 MILLS AS CERTIFIED BY THE VOLUSIA COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THE CITY’S ANNUAL OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2016 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2017, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. First and only reading.

b) Consideration of approving an amendment to extend the Volusia County Fire Suppression Agreement through September 30, 2018.

c) Consideration of approving an amendment to extend the Volusia County Mutual Aid Agreement through October 24, 2021.

d) Consideration of approving a Special Use to operate a house of worship at 3184 S. Ridgewood Avenue, Units 3 and 4. Public Hearing. Passed LDRB on June 15, 2016.
