WHERE CAN I PARK MY VEHICLE?

  1. In residential districts, vehicles must be parked on the designated driveway area or in the garage or carport.
  2. Please do not park on your front lawn!
  3. Parking is permitted on the parkage only when the driveway and other designated parking areas are full. The "parkage" is the unpaved area between the edge of the road pavement and adjacent property line.
  4. No vehicle shall block a public sidewalk.
  5. No on-street parking, except in cases of emergency or to momentarily pick or discharge a passenger(s) or load/unload merchandise.
  6. RV's and boats are required to be parked in the back yard or side yard as long as they are behind the front plane(s) of the home. Corner lots are considered to have two front yards; therefore the RV or Boat cannot be parked in the "front yard" area.
  7. Unregistered vehicles, inoperable vehicles, or vehicles which cannot be legally driven on Florida roads because of damage or lack of repair, are prohibited from being stored on residential property except inside a totally enclosed building.
  8. Under no circumstance may any vehicle or equipment be used as temporary or permanent living quarters in residential areas.
  9. No vehicle shall be stopped, left standing, or parked in any fire lane.
  10. Do not park in a a designated Handicapped Parking Space unless you have a permit to do so.  A $100 fine will be issued.

Vehicles specifically prohibited from being parked or stored on residential property (unless it is stored within a completely enclosed building) include but are not limited to:

  • Bulldozers, backhoes, dump trucks (heavy equipment)
  • Tow trucks
  • Semi Tractors and/or Semi-trailers
  • Buses
  • Vehicles with refrigeration devices
  • Bucket trucks
  • Vehicles specially equipped for racing
  • Step Vans

No on-street parking whatsoever shall be allowed on any public street in the city. Provided, however, the city manager may grant special exceptions to this subsection during special events.
