CPR Class

For those citizens that require a CPR card for their job, the Fire Department offers the Health Care Provider class.
The Fire Department strongly recommends that individuals needing a Health Care Provider CPR card to consider completing the online CPR class.  Unless you have a predetermined number of people in your organization that requires a CPR card, it is difficult for the Fire Department to obtain enough students to hold a class.

The Friends and Family CPR class is available for those who want to learn CPR but don't require a CPR card for their employment.
Please contact the Fire Department at 322-3033 for more information.

The South Daytona Fire Department CPR classes are in conjunction with the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.  www.heart.org

CPR Online Class

This is an alternative option for the public to get certified in CPR.  The American Heart Association (AHA) offers the written portion of the CPR class online at their web site.  Students can take this portion online, pay the AHA the current charge ($18.00) and print out their completion certificate.  Once this is completed, the student needs to call the South Daytona Fire Department (386-322-3033) to set up an appointment to complete the practical portion of the class.

The Student will need to bring:

  • A copy of the written certificate
  • A Photo ID
  • A Pocket face mask
  • Cash or check for $25.00
