The smoke in our area today is from the wildfire near Tiger Bay State Forest. The Doublegate wildfire is now 85% contained at 1866 acres. The Pinewood Fire is now 100% contained at 111 acres (also near Tiger Bay State Forest).

Below is the updated map for both the Pine Wood and Double Gate wildfires near Tiger Bay State Forest.  Today, weather conditions are forecasted to be unfavorable to include lower relative humidity, gusty winds, and highly unstable dispersion.  We have nearly 50 personnel working to contain these fires and while the Pine Wood fire is 100% contained we will continue to have personnel committed to that fire to improve containment lines, conduct mop-up operations, and watch for spot-overs.  There will also be 17 dozers working on containment of these fires as well.
