The City of South Daytona is taking extraordinary steps to ensure the safety of our residents and the staff that serves you from possible exposure to the COVID-19 virus.  We are working closely with the other cities in Volusia County to provide a coordinated response to this ever-changing threat.

To reduce the potential exposure to our residents and staff, we are restricting access to our City Hall complex including the Piggotte Community Center beginning Monday, March 23rd through Friday April 3rd for a period of two weeks.  Utility bills can still be paid over the phone or by using the drive-thru window during regular office hours.  Please call 386-322-3002 if you have any questions.  Permits and applications will still be issued, we ask that you please call ahead (386-322-3020) so we can have them ready for you in advance.  Permits and applications will be brought out to your vehicle after you have called us.  Payments for permits can be made online, over the phone or at the drive-thru window during business hours.

Our parks will remain open to ensure that our residents can get fresh air and exercise during this time of crisis.  We ask that you adhere to the CDC’s recommendation of social distancing please.  Staff is working to spray disinfectant on the playground equipment daily to reduce exposure but please exercise caution when using these facilities.

As of this date, Thursday March 19th, there are no cases confirmed in South Daytona that we have been made aware of.  We are working extremely hard to keep it that way; please exercise caution during these unprecedented times and follow CDC guidelines available at at all times.
