Blaine O'Neal Park commemorates the South Daytona Mayor who passed away unexpectedly in 2010. The site was formerly known as Big Tree Park. The 11-acre park includes a three-acre lake that has bass, bluegill and other varieties of fish.

The Courts at Riverfront

The Courts at Riverfront offers a newly resurfaced shared tennis/pickleball court and two dedicated pickleball courts. All courts are lighted.

Renovated in 1999, South Daytona's James Park offers an array of sports facilities and a Youth Activity Center.

Pavilion Rental Forms

Including 30 acres and a lake, Reed Canal Park is a city-run natural area with active recreational facilities. It features shell hiking trails in the nature portion, as well as a Disc golf course, a multipurpose play field, playground, dog park, pavilion and picnic facilities, and paved paths around the park's developed sections. Anglers and model sailboat fans like to use the small lake.

Riverfront is a local park with water access and other recreational facilities. Besides a public boat ramp, kayak launch, and fishing pier on the Halifax River, it features a playground and picnic pavilions with grills.

Park of Honor

Park of Honor, acknowledging those in the community who have made significant contributions to the City of South Daytona, features a pond with fountain along with a native plant gardens to stimulate your senses.

Piggotte Community Center

504 Big Tree Road

M-F 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Piggotte Community Center is a 7,000-sq. ft. building that is the home of the Parks and Recreation Department Administrative offices and features a Conference Room and Reception Hall. During the week numerous classes and programs are offered in the center. The South Daytona Historical Society meets at the center on at 5:30 p.m. on the first Monday of the month and the Florida Native Plant Society, PawPaw Chapter meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month. 

The Piggotte Center may also be rented during the week or on weekends for events such as business meetings, wedding receptions, baby showers, birthday parties and retirement parties. The Conference Room seats 35 people comfortably with tables and chairs. The Reception Hall can accommodate a group of up to 80 people with tables and chairs and allows room for dancing. Please contact the Parks and Recreation office to reserve the center for your event.
