General Elections in the City of South Daytona are held in even-numbered years on the date established by the Florida Election Code for the primary election.  The next General Election will be held in August 2020.  In 2020, the mayoral seat, Seat 1 and Seat 4 will be up for election .  A Run-off Election is held only in the event no candidate for any seat receives a majority of the votes cast during the General Election.  Only the names of the two candidates receiving the largest number of votes for any seat shall be printed on the ballot for such Run-off Election.  The next Run-off Election, if required, will be held in November 2020.

Municipal elections are non-partisan.  In the City of South Daytona all seats on the City council are elected at-large.  There are no term limits and the seats are for four (4) years.

Early voting begins on August 8 and ends August 15.
Early voting hours are: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Election day the Polls are open 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. ONLY

RUNOFF ELECTION – November 3, 2020

The deadline to Register to Vote in the Runoff Election is October 5, 2020.
Early voting begins on October 19 and ends November 1.
